Diego Rinallo (Euromed Management - Bocconi University, Milan)

 

 

Diego Rinallo is Associate Professor of Marketing and Consumer Culture at Euromed Management, Marseille. Previously, he was Assistant Professor at Bocconi University, Milan, Italy, which also granted his Ph.D. in Business Administration and Management (major in Marketing), and visiting scholar the Schulich School of Business, Toronto, and the University of Wisconsin-Madison. His research interests include consumer culture, fashion, masculinity, spirituality and magic in the marketplace ; critical
perspectives on advertising; and trade shows, fashion shows and other marketing events.

 

His work has been published in Journal of Marketing, Journal of Business Ethics, Journal of Business Research, Industrial Marketing Management, Journal of Business and Industrial Marketing and other international academic outlets. He is also the author of a textbook of marketing events, an edited book for Routledge on Consumption and Spirituality and a forthcoming volume for Oxford University Press on the role played by trade shows in the globalizing knowledge economy.

 

Besides his academic research, he carried out numerous applied research projects and consultancy works in the context of the trade fair industry and assisted tourism destination organizations to develop their
event-based marketing strategies. He is also jury member of the Italian Best Event Award, an initiative whose goal is to provide a quality certification to the best marketing and communication events organized every year.
